Worship Calendar
Congregations of the Worldwide Church of God have celebrated God’s grace through a variety of annual worship celebrations over the years. In addition to celebrating God’s great acts of grace in Jesus Christ on the traditional Christian festivals, members and congregations have also utilised the festival days of the Old Testament that foreshadow the saving acts of Christ. As well as sharing communion at various times throughout the year, members share in an annual denominational Lord’s Supper service on either Maundy Thursday (the evening before Good Friday) or in the week of the Jewish Passover. In all of our worship services our focus is on God’s salvation through Jesus Christ and His majesty, authority, love and grace.

The Israelite festivals, while not specified for Christians, were clearly used by the early church and even today some Christians reflect that practice. The Worldwide Church of God, while acknowledging the traditional Christian celebrations does not mandate either tradition be followed over against the other.
