Women's Retreat
The women of the church very much enjoy getting together to share a time of worship and learning that is designed specifically for them and the particular challenges they face. Women's conferences and/or retreats have been a feature of the church calendar for a number of years now in Australia but were begun here in New Zealand only in 2007. The next New Zealand women's retreat is to be held this coming year, 2010.
The New Zealand women's retreat will again be held at the Waikanae Christian Camp over the weekend of February 6 & 7. Details about the venue and programme will be posted later in 2009. Ruth Matthews will be the guest speaker. The contact person for this event is Maureen MacDonald.
Annual conferences have been held at the Australian church’s regional headquarters in Queensland and women from around the region attend, including New Zealand, as they are able. Their next conference is planned for Friday through Sunday, May 21-23, 2010 (see www.wcg.org.au). Additionally there are bi-annual retreats in the Melbourne region.
