Dinner and Family Activities Evening
Do your remember some of those special, family evenings we have had down through the years? This year's event will be in a familiar place, but what we do will be something not all of us have tried.
This year we are planning on a family dinner at the Netherlands Club, part of the complex of buildings tucked in at the back of the Neil Hunt Park, which is accessed off Tarawera Road not far from its intersection with Te Ngae Road (the road out to the airport). The dinner will start at 6:00pm.
Then after we have enjoyed the meal it will be time to sing! Karaoke style! We are hiring a karaoke unit for the evening and you are all invited to sing along with the brave souls prepared to 'give it a lash'. (Note, if your talents don't tend toward vocal mellifluence, no one will pressure you to do what you don't want to attempt.) So, practice your scales and on the night we'll find out how many (or if) canaries we have amongst us!
