About The Church in New Zealand

The Worldwide Church of God (WCG) is an evangelical denomination with its world headquarters in Glendora, California, USA, where it is known as Grace Communion International (GCI). The church has been active in this country since the late 1950s and moved to establish the first congregations in the 1960s, having spread here from Australia. In the USA, the church is a participating member of the National Evangelical Associatoin (NEA).

Despite being one of the smaller denominational groups in the country, our members nevertheless strive to be caring neighbours and helpful members of the community.  Many are involved in the work of community and special needs groups.  In most cases WCG members are involved as individuals, attaching themselves to already existing groups. The church does, however, support congregation-wide outreach work in some centres.
